eBay listing software, rebuilt for the AI era

Photo-first. Bulk-native. Faster than eBay Seller Hub by an order of magnitude.

The problem

eBay listing software has been stuck in 2010 — until photo-first AI made the form obsolete.

eBay listing software has spent the last 15 years iterating on the same idea: a slightly nicer form than the one eBay ships in Seller Hub. Templates, drop-downs, CSV imports, browser extensions — the underlying assumption never changed. The seller catalogs the item, picks the category, types the title, fills the item specifics, finds a comp. The software just made the form prettier or batched the inputs.

The problem isn't that the form is ugly. The problem is that the form is the wrong unit of work. Modern AI can read the product from the photo, classify the category, generate the title, fill the specifics, and pull the comp. The form-filling step that took ten minutes per listing simply doesn't need to exist anymore.

HumCity is what eBay listing software looks like when you take that premise seriously. Photos in, listings out. The cataloging work happens automatically. The seller's job becomes review, approval, and judgment calls — not data entry. The math: a 50-item haul that took 5 hours in Seller Hub takes 10 minutes in HumCity.

What you get

Capabilities built for this exact workflow.

  • Direct eBay Trading + Inventory API integration

HumCity is an authorized eBay API partner and uses the official Trading API for listing operations and the Inventory API for fixed-price inventory management. Every listing published from HumCity is indistinguishable from a listing created in Seller Hub from eBay's perspective — same search treatment, same selling fees, same Seller Hub visibility.

  • Bulk upload and bulk publish — Pile Mode™

Pile Mode supports 10–500 photos per upload. AI inference runs in parallel across the batch so a 100-item upload is typically ready for review in under 2 minutes. Bulk publish ships the approved batch to eBay via the API, respecting rate limits behind the scenes.

  • Every eBay category supported with category-specific specifics

HumCity covers eBay's full category taxonomy — thousands of leaf categories — with the current item-specifics schema for each. Cards, coins, comics, apparel, electronics, motors parts, home goods, books, music, business and industrial — every category routes correctly and ships with complete specifics.

  • Business policies (shipping, payment, returns) synced

On store connection, HumCity pulls your existing eBay business policies and applies them to new listings by default. You can override per-listing or per-batch. Policy edits made in HumCity sync back to eBay; policy edits made in Seller Hub sync to HumCity on next refresh.

  • Multi-store support

Pro and Scale plans support multiple connected eBay stores. Inventory can be routed between stores or duplicated. Each store keeps its own active-listings view, but the inventory catalog and AI workflow are unified. Useful for sellers running US + UK or operating multiple specialty stores.

  • Listing revision and bulk-edit on existing eBay inventory

On first connection, HumCity pulls your active and recently-ended listings into the dashboard. From there, you can bulk-edit titles, prices, item specifics, shipping policies, and quantities across thousands of listings at once and push the revisions back via the eBay API. Useful for category-wide price drops, post-policy-change updates, or item-specific backfills.

Use cases

Built for the way real resellers work.

High-volume sellers replacing Seller Hub

Sellers running real volume hit the limits of Seller Hub fast — no bulk upload, no AI generation, no keyboard-first review. HumCity is the replacement: photo-first input, AI-generated listings, keyboard-first review, bulk publish. The same listings end up in Seller Hub anyway because publishing is via the official API.

Collectibles dealers running specialty categories

Specialty categories (cards, coins, comics, LEGO, vinyl) have category-specific item specifics that are tedious to fill manually and unforgiving when filled wrong. HumCity knows each specialty schema and fills correctly the first time. The category-specific intelligence is the reason most specialty dealers switch.

Multi-channel sellers using eBay as anchor channel

Sellers who run eBay + Mercari + Whatnot + Shopify typically use eBay as the anchor channel for listing volume. HumCity makes eBay listing fast enough that it stops being the bottleneck — the time-savings on eBay free up bandwidth for the channels that still need manual work today.

Sellers with existing eBay inventory who need a faster revision tool

Bulk-editing existing eBay listings (price drops, shipping updates, item-specific backfills) in Seller Hub is painful. HumCity's bulk-edit handles thousands of listings at once — apply a 10% price drop across a category, swap shipping policies, fill missing item specifics from the AI extraction.

FAQ

Common questions

Does it work with eBay Motors?
Yes — full Motors category support including parts compatibility specifics, fitment data, and motorcycle/automotive item specifics. Motors listings ship via the same API path with the right category-specific fields filled.
Can I revise existing eBay listings?
Yes — pull existing listings into HumCity and revise titles, item specifics, prices, quantities, shipping policies, or any other field. Bulk-edit lets you apply revisions across thousands of listings at once. Revisions push back to eBay via the official API.
Is there an API?
Direct eBay API integration is built-in to the product. A HumCity API for partners (sourcing tools, accounting integrations, custom workflows) is on the roadmap. Today, integration with other tools is typically handled via CSV export/import.
Does HumCity support eBay Stores subscriptions?
Yes. All eBay Store tiers (Starter, Basic, Premium, Anchor, Enterprise) are supported. Listings inherit the right insertion-fee treatment for your store tier automatically.
Can I list as auction-style or fixed-price?
Both. Fixed price is the default and is best for inventory volume. Auction-style is supported for items where the price discovery matters (e.g. one-of-a-kind collectibles, slabs with thin comps).
Does it support eBay Promoted Listings?
Promoted Listings campaigns can be applied to HumCity-published listings the same way as any other eBay listing. Direct promotion management from inside HumCity is on the roadmap.
Are GTC (Good Til Cancelled) and variation listings supported?
Yes. GTC is the default duration for fixed-price listings. Variation listings (size, color, condition variants) are fully supported with parent-child structure and per-variation inventory tracking.
Will my listings appear normally in eBay search?
Yes. HumCity-published listings are normal eBay listings — same search treatment, same Cassini ranking inputs, same Best Match eligibility. The publishing path is the official API, which produces identical listings to manual creation in Seller Hub.
Does HumCity work for international eBay sites (UK, AU, DE)?
eBay US, UK, AU, and CA are live today. eBay DE, FR, IT, ES are on the roadmap. Multi-site posting from a single inventory record will follow.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Every account gets 50 free listings or revisions per month with no credit card required. Most resellers can fully evaluate the AI workflow, image recognition, and bulk upload before deciding to upgrade. Paid plans start at $10/month for 500 listings and scale with volume.
Does HumCity use the official eBay API?
Yes. HumCity is an authorized eBay API partner and uses the official Trading and Inventory APIs. Every listing published from HumCity appears in eBay Seller Hub normally, counts toward your eBay reputation, and respects your existing business policies for shipping, returns, and payments.
Is my eBay account and inventory data secure?
Yes. HumCity authenticates via official eBay OAuth — we never see or store your eBay password. Photos and listing data are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell or share your inventory data with any third party.
