AI listing generator
An AI listing generator is software that produces the fields of a marketplace listing — category, title, item specifics, condition, description, and a suggested price — automatically from an input such as an inventory photo or a short text prompt.
The typical pipeline has four stages. First, identification: a vision or language model determines what the item is. Second, classification: the item is mapped to a marketplace category, which determines what data the listing needs. Third, generation: the required fields are filled from the identified attributes. Fourth, review: a human corrects and approves before publication.
Quality depends heavily on stages two and three being grounded in the marketplace's live requirements rather than in the model's assumptions. Fetching the real aspect list for the real category is the difference between a listing that publishes and one that gets rejected.
A responsible generator flags what it could not determine instead of inventing values, and never publishes without human approval — because condition claims and pricing decisions carry consequences the model cannot evaluate.
