what: the Humboldt Homebrew Festival and competition is a private fundraising event to support local engineers working on international humanitarian projects. Bringing together local homebrewers, the people and judges will vote on the best creations of the NorthCoast. While enjoying locally brewed beer, patrons can enjoy live music, bid on silent auction items and taste delicious tapas-style eats made by chef Galen O’Toole. The first 100 patrons through the door recieve a free custom pint glass

what: The Golden Rule Project and Veterans For Peace present Whiskey Plank Party. There will be beer, wine, oysters and hors d’ouvres. Solo artists Chris Parreira and Anna Hamilton will provide live music. There will be a silent auction, raffle and a bid to fasten the last plank. Admission is a $25.00 donation with proceeds benefiting the Golden Rule Project. The Golden Rule is a historic ship that sailed the South Pacific Ocean to protest nuclear testing. It was seized by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1958 and eventually ended up in Humboldt Bay
