what: An evening of music, dance, and art to benefit the Area 74 project and the Humboldt Spin Collective. Inferknow has been working on obtaining special use permits for a piece of property in Fieldbrook know as Area 74. The plan is to hold music and art events as well as a number of other community related projects. The evening  features 2 rooms of music performances by many local acts (The Bump Foundation, Bloco Firmeza, The Nucleus, Plush Fuzz, DJ Rickshaw), dance performances by Samba na Chuva and the Humboldt Spin Collective, Deep Groove Society spinning all night, food, drinks for those over 21 and live art by Empire Squared! Keyboardist Mike Kapitan leads a group playing Miles’ music (and originals) starting from the Kind Of Blue era to the rockin’ psychedelic explorations of the Bitches Brew and Live/Evil period. Featuring Brad Werren trumpet, Dan Pearson tenor/soprano sax, Anna Pfiefer basses, and Mike LaBolle drums.
